What’s different about FabricMaker compared to other DIY fabric solutions? It includes Sawgrass’ professional textile inks and fabrics, the same technology widely used for high volume digital textile production. Unlike regular inkjet fabrics printed with inks made for printing paper, FabricMaker is a true digital textile ink that offers rich, vibrant colors and deep, high-contrast blacks. When used with FabricMaker quilt-weight inkjet fabrics, you get custom-printed fabrics that will hold up wash after wash.

What can you do with this custom fabric? Well, the possibilities go well beyond just quilting, but check out this unique quilt that was made with FabricMaker:

One of the quilters, Geri, has three grandchildren – Tucker, Katie Grace & Lillie – who were the inspiration for her modern quilt. She used Photoshop to manipulate photos of her grandchildren similar to Andy Warhol’s style. What she liked most about the FabricMaker system was the quality of the finished product as well as the opportunity to create her own designs that have a special personal meaning. Best of all, the system did not limit her creativity and allowed the flexibility to print on demand in any color.

You can learn more about these and other talented quilters and their experience making quilts with FabricMaker here.

FabricMaker Personal allows for print sizes of up to 8.5″ x 51″ and handles a surprisingly wide range of popular fabric cuts. Are you curious to learn more about FabricMaker? Be sure to attend some of their upcoming events and webinars. Check out the calendar here.
