Riley Blake Designs was this year’s sponsor of the 3rd annual MQG members fabric challenge.
The challenge was centered around basics. Each member received fat 1/8th’s of the below fabrics. There were two rules:
- It must be quilted.
- If additional fabric was used it needed to be a Riley Blake print or solid.
You can see more about the guild lines here.
There were 390 entries! The talent that is coming out of our members is outstanding.
Below are the top ten from those entries. Congratulations everyone who participated; narrowing the pool was extremely difficult.
Such stunning quilts! Thank you again for putting together such a fun challenge!
The top (first one) is my favorite 🙂

They are fantastic! Great job all!
Congratulations to all of the top ten! You are all winners as your quilts are wonderful.
I have one note though. It seems a shame that only quilts made it into the top ten when it was stated that all items, as long as they followed the rules, would be allowed. Just my thoughts.
Congratulations to you all.
This was such an amazing experience all the way around. Many thanks to the Modern Quilt Guild and Riley Blake for making this happen! Good luck to all 🙂
Congratulations to all of you. The quilts are so diverse in design – it’s an inspiration! Thank you for your creativity and work; thanks to MQG and Riley Blake, too!!
